One of the most significant events of the Voluspa and of Norse lore, the death of Odin. I've interpreted the death of Odin in the past, LINK HERE. This time I wanted to show the inevitability of the event. The idea that Odin stands ready to meet his fate, as ultimately we all must do. I know this is a very different approach to this tale, and that some might not care for it, but my goals for this project are to bring something new into this world out of something old. I hope you like it.

Voluspa - Norse Mythology Book - Verse 53

“Now comes to Hlin | yet another hurt,

When Othin fares | to fight with the wolf,

And Beli’s fair slayer | seeks out Surt,

For there must fall | the joy of Frigg.”
